Any real advantages/disadvantages other then wieght? Anyone know the approximate weight difference with tires?

Run 17's only if you have big brakes. Otherwise more money and less tire options along with more weight.

Go with 15's if you can. Cheaper tires and wheels, more tire options, less weight.

Plus, I always thought that bigger rims in the front looks odd.

Buy whichever you are happy with, there isn't enough weight difference to matter. I have 17" front and rear racestars and I am very pleased with how it looks.

I recently sold my 17" Racestar wheels, and when I shipped the front pair the box weighted 73 lbs. per UPS. So about 35 lbs each ready to install on the car.

I put the weights of the bare wheels in the how much does it weigh threads.

Front's were 16.5 pounds bare. Rears were 21.5 pounds.
