I've searched but not found and answer
Both my '06 GT and '07 V6 have the interiors out right now for a swap.
Under the carpet on the '06 but not the '07 there is a 3rd (unused, 2-wire) plug on the seat harness, What is it for? Since the wiring is all currently disconnected, I can't check for power, etc.

Did those wires move into the main harness for the seat on the '07? Like can you see the same wires in it?

Being only two wires I would guess it's MAYBE for the occupant sensor in the seat. I'm sure someone will chime in on it.

Both have power driver's seat, manual passenger. No plugs on the "07 V6, but both sides on the '06 GT. AFAIK heated seats weren't even an option (but I've added my own).

Pretty sure there was an option for a power passenger seat, I know there was on the GT (I didn't get it to save weight) but I don't see why it wouldn't have been available on the V6 too

Neither '06 or "07 show an option for power passenger seat, and anyways this extra unused plug is on both sides.
The '07 order guide shows an option for heated seats, the '06 does not.
But the unused plugs are there on my '06 and not the '07.

If I figure out what they are for, the plugs/wires will be repurposed.

Heated seats and power passenger came together as a single option, and that plug is for neither (they were built into the large green/gray connector).

Not 100% sure but that connector COULD be for the side impact sensor that mounts on the floor tub by the inner rocker. Not sure why your 07 would not have it, but it was a Side Airbag type sensor, not all cars had em

I messed some more with them today to no avail. :/
One wire is gnd as epected, the other has no power in a variety of scenarios so far. It is vexing me, especially since nothing was plugged into them, and they are absent on the '07.
I may resort to tracing the non-gnd wire since I am belligerantly persistent, lol
