Helping my friend work on his 4.6 3V its an F150 2010 same motor 4.63V yes I know there are differences but I have a question please Help
when replacing the cam driver side do the lobes have to be in a certain spot or ? cause my knowledge ends and removing the cam on the older engines the cam in the middle I can do I have never replaced and over head cam before so can you please help

1. Make sure that you install the correct cams on the correct side because they're side specific. The left (driver's side) cam is slightly longer.

2. When you install the cam phasers, make sure the roll pin is properly seated in the recess on the cam nose before you tighten the bolt and torque it down. Remember that these are TTY so use new ones.

3. Make sure the cams are timed correctly.
