~ 4000rpm wall

So i was driving my car and as i got on the throttle to get to the freeway as soon as i hit 4000rpm my car started missing and the check engine light came on. It sounded like a downshifting diesel or a car staging with a two step rev limiter or something. Has anyone else had this happen and what exactly is the cause? I'm waiting for the dealer to tell me wassup and didnt pull the codes since i dont have my tuner or code reader with me.

I has pinched 02 wires to the same thing to me at 5k.

Have you had any work done to the car as of late?

Not under the hood i just had 7k of bodywork done tho

mass air hooked up? mine did that once before i realized i forgot to hook back up

body work... any chance car put on lift, etc...

check the 02 sensors and their wires; take wires off and visually inspect. If Id had done that, would have saved me months of searching for some 'short'.

Something like that happened to me when the filter fell off my 1st JLT intake. I was merging onto the highway and the car just went limp (into safety mode).
