Yes a friend of mine has their trans in a fox body and i considered them also before i went with freddy brown.
He has had no issues with them and is happy. I choose FB because of his multi function controller its one of a kind for a manual valve body setup also he has every thing that is specific to s s197 4r70w swap so it made it easier to order from one source instead of having to piece the conversion together.
Bolt in deal with fb.

Great info here. Why did you guys choose Freddy Brown over someone like Lentech?

Answer: quality and reliability. i should have gone with Freddy Brown instead of lentech...which resulted in this with only 600 hp (1000hp trans my ass!)

Same thing happened to my Lentech on my first launch.
They did replace it for free and paid shipping to and from. I haven't had a issue since 4+ years.

Looks like they missed replacing that intermediate shaft and left it stock. Reminds me of bad memory with my first built 5r55s from level 10 when i broke the input shaft they left stock but i was told when i purchased it was a 300m billet shaft.
At least they took care of you.
I now have the fb 4r so far we're good time will tell all.

That "they" didnt do. They sent me one replacement part (rear drum), and maybe another stock shaft, which I didnt use.

People on this forum (especially Tanner) DID take care and helped me out, and we fixed it ourselves, with proper parts :thanks
It's held up so far :thumb2:
