because........ lol

Does the "why" really matter? I'm sure you can find various forum comments (good and bad) on the various 4R builders. ;)

I can tell you that the PA 4R works fine for me and I have had no issues with the trany after repeated 9 second TB launches. I have had issues with the converter but that's a different topic.

I understand that with the converter. I'm just looking for real answers. I want people with experience. No harm in that.

No harm at all.

I have no reservations recommending either PA or Lentech, only because I've had direct experience (either myself or people I've raced with) running 9's with manual VB on both of these transmissions with no issues.

PA 4r70w with a 3000 stall using a baumenn optishift controller
90% of the issues with my car have been this tranny. I had a faulty controller that was luckly corrected free of charge just had to pay shipping from Baumenn and right now im looking at a bad speed sensor on the tranny with less then 3000 miles and a bad seal thats leaking could be a cheap O-ring used or maybe pinched durning install who knows...

Most of my tuner vists and extended shop stays have been due to the tranny and its shifting..

i have mixed feelings about the item and not to sure about it im giving the shop some time to find out whats realy going on with it. i mean i stil ran a 11.1 with it not doing what its suppose .

stick with Freddy Brow and their trans with a circle D converter. You cant go wrong.

Mike and Fred know their shit. When I had a problem with a bad heat treat on one of the parts in my trans, they had the car there in 2 days and back to me in 4, with a fully rebuilt tranmission. I cant say enough about them.

Good to know.

The work I have seen from them is amazing.

I agree, I an super happy with my FB trans. I called them at least 3 times before I bought it to ask questions as I wanted to make sure I could do the install myself. They took the time to answer all my questions and made me a great trans.
