Okay gentlemen, I'm trying to see what would explain these ultra low dyno numbers I just got. I just did a quick two pulls as I was in a hurry and just driving past. Wasn't plugged into their afr or boost readers

557 rwhp, 585 tq
561 rwhp, 588tq

Cars an 06 gt running a return e85 setup tuned by lito on a 2.3 tvs being spun to hell, gauges showing 22 lbs of boost, forged 4.7 engine with 8.5ish.. correction, 8.8 CR as well as stock heads

So these seem like REALLY low numbers. Was a dynojet.

now before I tear my heads off to verify exactly wtf MMR has in my engine, what could be some issues?

I didn't smell any clutch during the pulls.
The car doesn't feel sluggish off boost to the point that id think some crazy pistons ended up in there giving me a crazy low cr

Could my wideband be junk and its actually running way rich? I mean I have no idea what could explain such a low number. Even if my boost gauge was off a bit and I was only at 18 psi should still be more hp than that.

Sigh im totally at a loss

8.5 : 1 CR is part of it. why so low?

22 PSI of boost out of a 2.3 seems like a lot of boost. Maybe you have something restricting airflow? Or are you sure of the boost reading?

I had a 2.3 Whipple that made over 25 lbs of boost and there was no restriction.

22lbs and you're barely seeing 600?...

8lbs on a m90 and am seeing 400, def something wrong.

Maybe your a/f is out for the fritz and too much fuel, not enough timing

Was supposed to be stock but MMR sent the wrong pistons and no one checked when I had the shop build the engine.

I have a full 3in bassani exhaust with X-pipe and dynatech 1 3/4 long tubes.

One correction, 8.8 CR instead of 8.5 but yeah.

Lito said I have a pretty aggressive amount of timing. I'm also running a 148mm CAI and a 66mm L&M TB so the amount of boost I think makes sense with the smaller pully and 10% OD balancer.

I mean people with similar setups have seen over 700 at the wheels, can 8.8 vs 9.4 compression and a off-cal wideband be enough for a 150 hp difference?

I had take used takeoff heads put on as well as a used teksid block for my build.. i mean maybe the deck heights were off and that also lowered my CR? But seriously that much hp?

Really not trying to pull the heads to take measurements but I guess I won't know EXACTLY whats in there until I do myself. I'm just going off of MMR's word that they only had two pistons that could have been in there, the 9.4 or the ones that put it at 8.8..

22 is about the limit out of a TVS. Curious what the OP pulley setup is.

For reference I ran a IW 15% OD [7.5" diameter] and a 2.70" upper and made 20psi on stock heads .. stock stroke/0.20 over motor 9.3:1 CR.

That netted 635rwhp/585rwtq with Comp limiters on a DynoJet.

2.65 pully + 10% OD, 148mm CAI and 66mm L&M TB

MMR fucking up?

I couldn't imagine......

I wish I had e85 I would have thrown compression at it rather than take away.

At your current compression level would you be better off going back to pump gas? I mean I made 643 on a stroked 4.6 with a TVS1900 and 15 lbs of boost, and I ran 93 octane.

yeah.. i have a feeling im going to end up having to take one of my heads off and get in there and actually measure everything.......fuck

The 585rwtq looks right but you should be closer to 600's HP wise, I know the lower CR is hurting you but I wouldn't think it'd be that hard on you.

I have a FRPP 65mm TB and 2010 GT500 CAI. I also have Borla LT's with 1.75" primaries and O/R mid pipe. Currently running a 10% OD and 3" upper, locked cams. Boost is 15psi. Went with this pulley combo to run nawz.

What does your power curve look like? Is it dying on the top end? My setup had always been a 50 pt spread between peak HP and TQ regardless of what I've changed.

This is my last dyno run with a 200 shot . My TVS pulls out to 7200 pretty easy. We've actually made a dyno queen run out to 7700. Power was still hanging in there.

Are you running e85?

here is the graph..

I don't see how with e85/tons of timing and so much boost I'm still only seeing 550hp at 8.8 CR - - like what.
