Looking at Cale Aronson's web site I came across Kaase Race Engines. That let me to look at the Kaase's website.... and found this::allhail:

I wish I could send the vert for a conversion like this!

That build is over two years old. They had it at PRI back in '08. Immaculate machine. Damn engine fits better than our three valves. Lots more room between the shock towers and the valve covers.

The engine prices are not too bad if you build them yourself. And the new Boss9 heads make absolutely stupid power with 10.5:1 compression and hydraulic roller cams.

Wright wise we are probably talking around 150 more pounds or so correct? What's the price look like on the heads SD? I'm being lazy  did they use the AJE K-member or a custom one?

I saw that it was old, but damn, that thing is so bad ass... I had to post it. Wonder if it would be for sale????

Bare: 3400. Complete: 4150. Weight difference depends on the block. Aluminum.....about 150 lbs heavier. Iron.....oh shit, 250-300 lbs. Those monsters are heavy as hell in cast iron. Dad has a four bolt CJ block in his car and I don't dare try to pick up the bare block by myself.

Can't recall if they used the AJE but I'm thinking they did. Cale has been closer to it than I have (he is one of Kaase's engine customers) so he might chime in. I know Chuck Lawrence did a ton of fabrication work on that thing including the headers. He said they were easy to install with the room they had.

Don't know if he still has it or not. It was rumored to be for sale a while back.

Thats pretty sweet. But I think it would be the end of your using the vert for a DD. Unless your good with getting about 9mpg going to work.

well since the vert has never been a DD and in near 4 years it has about 13,200 miles that's not much of an issue.

And since my commute is 3/4 of a mile to the train station.... that's no a issue either

I am not sure of his asking price as he does each one to fit the customers needs and wants. They are pretty awesome. I am working with one of his customers now who is doing one in a 69' Mustang. Those engines can make 1000 horsepower and run off pump gas!

Here are some pictures...

Jon Kaase left, and Carl Baker right. Pulling the old Mod Motor.

Here is my old 2005 Outlaw Mustang with a 698 Kaase Wedge Engine in it. Started with EFI and then went to Carbs....

This is sort of a long explination, but bare with me...

We started with it because we wanted to see if it could correct for the change in air conditions as the car went down track. I ran 7.14 with EFI at 2700 lbs Naturally Aspirated on 10.5W tires.... The thing was that when I manually mapped out the fuel map it would run great, but when I would allow it to read the O2's and correct itself, it wasn't fast enough. We would lean out and fatten up real bad on each gear change. I played with this for more than a year, and finally put the carbs on and picked up 40+ hp on the dyno.

EFI can work, but it is a little ways yet from being perfect on N/A or Nitrous combos. Granted some are trying it and having a little success here and there, but high compression engines that are shifting 4 times going down the track don't seem to like it too much yet. As the processors get quicker, it will get better.

I am 27 years old, but honestly I like driving a carb setup even on the street a lot more. I like the response and the feel. I like how simple they are.... however I tune EFI and turbo stuff some too! LOL! Just because what I like is carbs, doesn't mean that EFI isn't good too.

You could build a nice 600 horse Windsor and be happy with it
Would be a pretty fun project!

600 I could get from a built motor and my Vortech.....

900... that's a different story! :roflmao:
