Okay, thanks. Do you have this dipstick? If so, where did you mount the top part of the dipstick. I think from something that I read, is that you are supposed to drill into the firewall and use two bolts with nuts on the inside of the firewall. If so, I don't want to do any drilling so I will have to come up with a different method.

Yeah it's a flexible tube dipstick, has to be bolted down at the top. It's not really the firewall at the top on these cars, the sheet metal you can see in the engine bay just has the cowl vent and windshield wipers behind it, the actual firewall is behind all that.

I run the PA Dipstick on my car, makes for a much easier fill and not burning my hands from the exhaust (especially with longtubes, looks like wbt has experienced this LOL). I made an L shaped aluminum bracket for the dipstick that bolts up to the top lip sheel metal part and ran a bolt and nut to securely mount it.

Sounds like a good option for mounting. Where did you buy the aluminum to make your bracket from?

Kdanner,
Thanks for the info. How did you mount yours?

Drilled through the faux firewall and bolted it down.

I just went to home depot, they sell flat aluminum and I just cut and bend to L shape and painted it black.
