A/C Clutch fuse #49 keeps blowing...

Long story short my 2005 Mustang GT sat for about a year after the A/C went out in it... So we just replaced the compressor, dryer, both switches, a burnt connector to one of the switches, fuse #49 and mini relay #24 but the A/C clutch still will not engage... Every time I turn the A/C on it it blows fuse #49.... when I unplug the a/c clutch connector the fuse does not blow. Any ideas to where my short might be?

You check the wiring harness leading into the fuse box? That’s a common area to find burnt wires with the A/C

Suggest checking the A/C Compressor Clutch diode. You can test with a VOM (on ohms; one way will be high resistance; the other low) or swap out with the other one in the BEC. Other than that I would start tracing continuity to ground (for F49). The fact that F49 blows immediately means either the Diode is bad/shorted or the AC clutch is or there's a short in the wiring somewhere. Q: Where was the burnt connector?
