A little oil in intake ok?

So I had my throttle body off today and noticed a little oil right at opening of intake manifold. Is that normal?

If you have a pcv system still attached it is.

yes thats due to the tubes coming from the valve covers to the intake to reduce emissions thanks c.a.r.b./epa fuggers for that.

I have the same issue..is it okay to disconnect the pcv valve and cap off the openings?

no, what you need is a oil separator.
IT keeps all that nasty shit out of your manifold and it helps keeps the varnish off your T.B. butter fly plates

You can clean them. They can get messy and drip too...get a catch can.

Yep, they aren't worth it. I have one, and with a 6k-7k mile oil change, it didn't even fill half a can. Some of the other catch cans have a bigger capacity (7 oz vs. 1.5 oz) and still capture more than a JLT.

Not that my opinion matters, but I run the breathers and have never had problems with dripping or mess. I go two sets and change them out while the other is being cleaned. My car is NA, so I don't know if a boosted motor would cause more oil mess running the breathers.

My car isn't N/A and I haven't had a problem with any oil dripping or mess. You can always route them away from everything so if they do drip it doesn't gunk up anything. You will see some coffee colored gunk under the oil fill cap though. It is from humidity getting in the crank case via the breathers though.
