A little project with Black Moleskin Suede...Pics inside...

Ok....I posted in my other thread about some material that I picked up that was a Black Moleskin Suede with a Matte Black Criss-Cross Pattern.....I wanted to do something to break up all of the black leather in the trunk so I thought this would be perfect and not be too loud and over done either.....

I took the trunk apart again and finished the top piece of the trunk which turned out great....There are still a few little areas that I have to touch up and re-do but here is the rough draft of it and how it will look.....

This same material will also be going on my headliner so it should accent the interior very well....and I may put it on some other pieces on the inside as well but haven't decided yet....don't want to go too over board with it.....

Here is the picture of the piece that I have finished already.....working on the others and will post them up when finished.....

This stuff can be a bitch to put on but, it is very flexible....You just have to be patient and do it slowly and adhere a little bit at a time....

I only see 1 pic and its disappointing to say the least. My doormat on my front steps looks better than what I'm seeing.

Ok....So all of you don't think you like it.....thats ok....

The lines that you see are a part of the material....That is the pattern that is on the suede...I did not do that.....And in the pictures it looks more like they are a silver color but they are matte black and do not show as bad as the pictures show.....It depends on the lighting......

And yes it is the piece that is connected to the inside of the trunk lid where the trunk light is mounted....

This is a picture of the actual material before I started to put any of it on....

Hope this helps solve any confusion of the lines are what hold it together....lol

Ok, the other pics don't look as bad, but you need to tighten up the cloth a bit more. It looks very amateurish around some of the corners. Other than that, not bad, and I could see it being a nice break up of the plain old blackish grey.

Yea it was just a rough draft......I still got a few things I need to touch up on it.......my trunk is done all in black leather. And I wanted to break it up a bit so I thought this suede with the line pattern would break it up nicely......but maybe not????

Yeah, definitely needs to be really really tightened up.
