Dear All,

I have recently changed the dashboard, and the floor carpet on my mustang to a GT500 Dash and I have taken over the passanger side airbag as well.
Today I have started the car, without all the airbags (no steering wheel, nor passanger side) and I was happy that it started, no check engine nada...

I have then put it together and it throws now Airbag code 42 which I am not sure why it is coming..

Is it because of I started the car without the airbags?
or because of the new airbag on the passenger side? (I have put the old one back ...same issue)

All the cables seems to be fine, all the plugs are connected.... ( I have one plug only for the restraint control module, I never checked why, maybe because I don't have side-seat airbags? No clue...

Where do you think I should start checking? Or any recommendation? Maybe Forscan and clear the airbag code and see?

I am open to advices...

Thanks'!!'!

Error 42 on a ford is the front impact sensor. Its possible that was either not connected in the body harness during the dash swap, or somehow came undone under the dash.
