i searched the forum but can't find an answer. My airbag light flashes when I start my car. It flashes twice, then it turns off. It does this 10 times and then stays lit. I am supposed to take my car in to Ford Friday but hopefully I can get an idea of whats wrong before then. Could my SCT X3 possibly have cause this error? I have ran it with the tune for a couple months with no problems till now.

Thanks,
Jon

When the RCM detects a system fault, it will cause the air bag indicator to flash a coded sequence; a lamp fault code (LFC). The code is 2 digits. The first digit is flashed with a 0.5-second interval between pulses. There is a 2-second pause before the second digit is flashed which also has a 0.5-second interval between pulses. There is a 5-second pause between each display of an LFC.
Each LFC is flashed 5 times after which the air bag indictor will remain lit for the remainder of the key-on cycle. If there are multiple LFCs, each LFC will flash in order of priority.

there isn't a fault code for 2 flashes which sounds like a code 11, there is a code 12 which would be 1 flash followed by 2 flashes which would indicate a bad RCM.

Mine does the same thing but only after it rains or I wash my car. I have noticed a slight leak on the pass side and I believe its the issue around the cowl but I havent taken the time to mess with it any. Im not to worried about air bags any ways. I wouldnt have them in there if it were up to me.

code 22 is Side Air Bag Status (Driver Seat Side Air Bag Circuit Failure)

Right tsb 09-8-7 DTC 2295 with error 22/23 driver/passenger seat side air bag circuit failure.

the fix is to replace and move the plug with a new one, with a slightly longer plug pn 4L8Z-14S411-AA pigtail connector. should be covered under warranty.
