It's an auto with a 3000 stall.3.73 gears.

Cool.....I have an auto as well...just no stall....

Do you have your nitrous spraying starting out in 1st and going through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th or are you starting to spray in 2nd??? I am debating on how I want to run it....Just don't know which would be better.....

I leave the line with the spray on. Look up my old threads on here I have pics of how hard my car leaves.

Those videos are bad ass especially the ones at Pinks.....Your car hooked really good.....I bet it will do even better at the track now since you have added the longtubes

If I run a 75 shot I have heard you do not really need a new tune. What about the plugs, are the factory stock plugs ok. I have a cai, headers with high flows x pipe, cams, pulleys, delete plates,410 gear, aluminum drive shaft and I got 342 to the wheels.

The stock plugs should be ok for the 75 shot....but you will need to get with your tuner and have them pull some timing out for you for the 75 shot.....just to be safe in my opinion....

100 shot dynotune nitrous kit, auto with stock stall converter, 4.10'a, longtubes w/ or x pipe, pro kit, suspension stuff, spyder driveshaft. 17's with MH drag radials

never got around to adding a higher stall torque converter to try and make a 10.xx pass.

I got a 125 shot on a plate system from nitrous outlet, a Airaid CAI, longtubes, roush off road exhaust system, gears and a tune going to the track next month to see what i run and gunna dyno it next month also but as for nitrous the 125 is an excellent shot to run

With the 125 shot, hopefully you are going to the track with some drag radials. If you are going with any kind of street tire, I am afraid you will be disappointed. Also make sure you have some HT0 plugs, gapped at .035. Watch your plugs. I ran a BAP also to help the stock fuel system.

All Right!!! I finally got my dyno day.....I am going on Jan. 10th at 10:00am to get the car tuned for the nitrous......I will be posting up a video and the dyno graph once I get them......These next few days are gonna probably go by slow it seems just because I want to hurry up and get the numbers already......

Make sure to do the following:

1) run the right heat range plug, HT0---if you are running the 100 or less leave the stock gap. 125 or higher gap .035

2) make sure your bottle pressure is where you want it. I am not sure about your kit specifically but my car always made good power with 1000 psi (950 was recommended with my particular kit). Hopefully you gave a pressure gauge and a bottle heater.

3) When you go to the track, run a good tire. N20 is all about torque, not necessarily about rwhp. Mickeys numbers are an excellent example. 520 rwtq will smoke a street tire.

4) I used to spray right out of the hole with a good tire about 4 years ago. However, it eventually caught up to me one day--I had a nice little backfire. I must have sprayed out of the hole 150+ times before it did this. A rpm switch would have prevented it. Consider getting one. But in my opinion, that is how you use spray, as soon as you can to get the most benefit.

5) run the best gas you can, cheap insurance. I used to run 100 when going to the track running the 125 or 150 shot.

Thanks for the helpful information!!! I have colder plugs Autolite HT0's and I also have a 20 Amp BAP for the fuel system.

I do have a Nitrous Pressure Gauge and a Bottle heater to help maintain my pressure......I have the Nitrous Express Plate Kit and I am pretty sure that it is recommended for at least 950 but, like you just said 1000 makes pretty good power.....

As far as tires, I am still on my Nitto 555r's and I am in the process on looking for some big n littles or just some drag radials with rims so that I can hook up....

The decision that I am trying to make is if I want to spray right out of the hole or start spraying in 2nd until I can get some better tires.....I don't go to the track much so it would mainly just be street fun on back roads and to use only when needed.....I will probably start taking it to the track to see what my times will be since I put the nitrous on but I don't want to ruin the car because it is a show car as well so I am stuck on what to do.....

As far as gas, I have been using 93 ever since I got it so that won't be a problem.....and I can get 100 octane right down the road from my house they sell it at a gas station close by.....so if I would need to mix my fuel I could...

great info Paul. I agree with a great drag radial being one of the most important things when using nitrous. lots of torque for a street tire to handle. I also sprayed right out of the hole everytime off a manual button I zip tied to my steering wheel so I always had both hands on the wheel

..

taking it to the track won't ruin your "show" car. I took my car to the track Friday nights and straight to car shows Saturday morning with rubber on my rear panels and think nothing looks better on a mustang at a car show than burnt rubber on the rear!

Best thing I can say is go watch some of those nitrous fire videos , That will take that though of spraying out of the hole right out of your head , it did mine . Nothing like having a nice show car on fire at the starting line to ruin your day .Good luck with whatever you decide .

That is exactly what I was thinking....That is why I am kinda skeptical about spraying out of the hole....I thought that to start spraying in 2nd would be safer than just gunning it all in first.....

Sorry for the noob question but can backfires only happen when spraying out of the hole?

not 100% sure but I don't think so. I think it happens mainly if you spray at low rpm's. if it's an auto I see no way of missing a gear shift dropping the rpm's that low at open throttle unless you're really a fucktard haha
