Thanks again to black05 for pointing me in the direction of the jeg's wheels. They showed up today. Tires will be here tomorrow. I am using an open ended lugnut and just did some measurements and I am getting 6 1/4 turns of threads with these lug nuts. It's just shy of 1/2" of threads in the lug nut. I think this will be fine for track duty. I do think I will put longer studs in just to be sure down the road.

What do you guys think ??
imo ur fine...i put prob 200 miles on my car with them and i had no issues and most drive was 70-80mph with some burst to 115. did u order the backs or just the fronts? and is ur hood the 2.5"? and glad i could help...might not be the greatest wheels but i like them alot and they fit my budget!

1. Just got the fronts for now. Gotta save up for the backs.
2. The hood is cervini's 2.5". However, if you measure at the windshield it measures 3". I really like it and would reccomend to everyone.

As far as the wheels. I think they look real mean on the car. Can't wait for the tires to show up tomorrow.

If you want to use NHRA rules as a guideline, with a 1/2" dia stud, you should have a 1/2" of thread engagement into the head of the lugnut (i.e., a 1/2" past the outer face of the wheel, and washer if there is one).

i was under the impression that the rules were for the rear wheels...as i know the houston race way park requires longer studs for the use of slicks... i know because on fox body mustangs with drag lights they dont stick past the open end of the lug nut.

The NHRA rule book (page 84, Regulation 5:2) says "all wheel studs" and doesn't specify just the rear.

Just to keep everyone in the loop, I spoke to Mike @ greg Weld today.

In a nut shell they are being sold, until that happens the wheels are in LA, and they will not be released until the bank paper work is finialized. what mike is hearing is that should happen mid week next week.

So you got any pics yet? I would like to see how they look. Thinking about getting the same wheels.
