It is only 9:32 here actually...hahahaha.....Just thought I would post this pic, this guy is on corral.net, and said he is running a 15x4 in front with a 1/4" spacer, and a 15x8 with 5.5 backspace in rear, but he didn't say anything about a spacer in the rear, just said he done some grinding...So I sent him a message and asked if anything else needed to be done....

It would be a lot easier for me to do it tonight if it weren't raining....Mom's Jeep, and 2 Corvette's are in the garage at the moment, so space is limited, but tomorrow if it's raining I'll back them out and pull mine in and get some pics of the process while trying the 15x10 with 7.5" backspace...

hell yea im really really liking that pin on 3" cowl hood vfn sells but i dunno i think it will just be a bit much for a d/d i know that 4" you running has to be a bitch to see around on the street but gd it looks kool though lol , those actually look like the jegs wheels too not the welds unless he removed all the deacls on the center caps .... that would be even better hell those are like 100 to welds 220 or so

Yeah the Jegs are cheaper, but I am confident I can get these Welds to work...and Jegs doesn't have the 10's with 7.5 backspace....But, I have access to lots of Weld wheels...lol, I think there are probably 20 sets laying at work of various sizes....The 7.5's I have here actually come off of a '69 Plymouth Valiant....they tucked up under the car nicely....but they should work on the s197's with minor modding....I am gonna work on it for sure tomorrow, got me excited to see what it would look like...

hey when you get ahold of the guy with the black mustang in the pic above. ask him what tire combo he is running. Im curious to see if thats a 26" combo or a 27.5" fronts, 28 or 27" rears. see if you can get exact tire sizes. thanks!

Well, I come in to grab a bite to eat....I have some good news and some bad news....

Good news: The 15x10 should fit when I am done grinding in a bit....I have been grinding for a while on the caliper and caliper bracket and getting real close....

Bad news: You can forget running a sway bar with the 15x10....unless the sway bar deletes will work....I have not seen them on a car, and don't know how they work....I am doing a custom rear suspension in the near future and went ahead and cut off the bottom of the bracket where the sway bar bolts up.....I'll take a pic of how close it is to the wheel.....

Welp, off to more grinding....

I did mine for the big break kit and it turned out well . They still need painted but after that they will look fine . Doesnt help that the car was left outside after I pulled the engine but to hard to push uphill in the rain. Im hoping you dont have to grind any more then I did so these will work for me as well . By the way a file will clean things up nicely after you done grinding.

FINISHED!!!!! A 15x10 with 7.5 backspace will work!!!!!

I finally finished with the grinding and cutting.....No more sway bar for me...wheel doesn't stick out at all, and the tire that is on the wheel is a 275/60/15 MT ET Street Radial.......I'll do the other side another day....spent enough time on this one side today....

Here are some pics....

Weapons of choice....

Sway bar bracket cut with torch....this is before I cleaned it up...

Nice. So could you use swaybar relocation brackets and still be able to retain the swaybar?

BTW..A few of us might ride over to Steele this Sunday.

Thanks man!! I am not sure on the relocation brackets, it would be better if someone that had them could take a pic and I could see how they work, I haven't seen them on a car....

Nice work man...looks awesome. So caliper grinding, a sway bar relocation kit, and Weld 15x10 with a 7.5 backspace does the trick? If so I am in this spring.
