Picked up a set of new M&H Racemaster Drag Radials not too long ago. Was just wondering if there were any issue with storing them unmounted. Never had a set before, and was unsure of how to store them due to the softer than normal compound... don't want them messed up before I even get a chance to use them.

Any hints?

Not gonna hurt to store them...as long as they are out of weather....If you mash them together you'll just have to set them in the soon and spread back out once you get ready to mount...

Sweet... yeah they are just sitting on their tread right now, in the floor in the office.

I stack my R compounds no more than 4 high in the corner of my garage out of the sunlight and weather. If you want a little more protection I suggest using the Tire Totes sold by the Tire Rack.

They should be fine as long as they are out of the sun and weather. You could go as far as putting them in a trash bag if you want but I don't think they will give you any trouble eather way.

I've always kept my race tires in gargabe bags and they keep fine. Have had the same set of drag radials for my Fox body race car for 3 seasons and they hooked great every year, just finally wore out.
