I just bought an 02 Lightning for a dd/toy/tow rig lol. I'm wanting to use it to pull my car to the strip every now and then and wanted to know what i might need to do to the truck to make it pull good and if anyone else is using one for the same reason.

Thanks,
-Nick

my undestanding is aslong as it wasnt lowered and has factory ride heigt you can tow its max but when your swapping the leaf springs and other prts it lowers the gross weight and the lowered hieght make bottoming out on the trailer more prominent supposedly. i have a tvs kit on mine nd towing the s197 wouldnt be such a great idea but wouldnt be out of the questioin if i slapped the stock leaf springs back on

IMO its a truck so i use it as a truck when needed. I have pulled my 06 with it a few times and havent had any problems.
