I know the difference between water and freon.
It was green and oily and there was no cold air coming through it the vents.
Its obvious to me that there is a leak, I just dont know where it is. I could find it but I'd rather let the dealership find and fix it.
Green? Sounds like it's had dye added at some point. Unless they're dyeing factory fills now. Anyway, that's oil leaking out. Refrigerant is a gas at ambient temp and pressure so it won't drip. Most leaks are usually in a hose crimp or at the fitting of a component like the accumulator or evaporator.
They should definitely help out. You can grab a UV light from the parts store for ~$10 and trace it. You could also use it to show the dealership. Good luck!
