Tom if you are going to install the M90 trust me save the $1500 or more and do it yourself, hell I'll even help. It is just too easy!!

Nick, you sittin around waitin for Santa??? Ha- I'm at work for Christmas...sucks! Home for New Years!

Thanks for the offer to help, but the mechanical work is no problem for me. I was interested in Having Roush install my blower for 2 reasons;

1- If they do it you get a Roush install tag under the hood to make it legit, and create a bit of residual value as, "installed by Roush".
2- Warranty.

So is that the price, 1500, if I drop it off at Roush in Livonia, Michigan?

The install is so simple I cant imagine paying anybody. Not really sure there is any value in having Roush do the install either......IMO.

Tom, as Nick stated we can all help its no biggy. I dont think it will add any value to your car at all or its just a cool factor when hanging out.

I think it more cool knowing you and your buddies installed it and frankly you then know its correct.

The install work is not the issue. I was wrenching on my own cars long before most S197 members were born.

I'm interested in building in some long term residual value, and not just throwing parts at the car to make it faster. If you look around, the Roush cars are holding their value better than the GT500 or SVT Cobras.

Then there's the warranty issue... It's down the toilet with a self installed blower.

I understand the warranty issue but with my m90 all you needed was a ASE certified mechanic. So any dealership or reputable shop could provide that and your warranty is still safe. You are correct about Roush cars holding their value, they definitely cost more compared to a GT. Not sure if a factory Roush car vs a Roush installed car would be the same but if it works for you, go for it.

I can see your point with the warranty. I think the closet certified Roush installer to us would be JDM in New Jersey, I think. Check the Roush site and call them.

If you ever install yourself, let us know. Mine is over 14 months now 11k+ miles and ZERO issues, and that is all while running the VMP upgrade kit and a VMP email tune! Still running strong as hell!!

Appreciate all the input from the great S197 builders here, but my question remains unanswered.

How much?

I'll call Roush.

If JDM is the closest one I hope you read the thread in here about the issues people were having with them....

That would be cool doing it straight from Roush, hearing what others charge I am guessing at least $1500. Good luck with whatever you go with Tom!!

1500 to install it is steep. And the tune is already built so they probably arent going to dyno it.I could see 1500 if it was install and custom tune but not just to install the blower....Oh I forgot about the sticker.Maybe 1500 is about right.....:roflmao::beer: Just giving you a hard time.

Uhhh...as much as Rousch over charges for everything else I bet $1500 is too low...if he really wants Rousch to install it..well...cha ching!
