Its not illogical because it is not wrong from any legal or true moral standpoint. Its a slap in the face to me because I choose not agree with it. Just because I think its not cool to do it, doesn't make it wrong. Get what I'm saying?

I get that you don't believe it's wrong legally. But I guess, I don't understand how you can say that it's not wrong from a "true moral standpoint" and then equate it to a slap in the face, say it's not cool, but not necessarily wrong. This is illogical to me.

I think you really believe it's wrong, but are too nice to come out and say it.

Just thought I would add this in since we're all bashing each other:
I posted my racestar wheels/tires for sale for $1200. Holywd pm'd me asking if I would trade for his CS66 wheels, which he had listed for $850, and apparently bought for $600. I told him I would need tires as well. Later he posts MRR Wheels for sale and I asked if he would trade, plus I would include some cash if necessary. He said he wasn't interested because they wouldn't clear his brembo's. Sounds to me like he wasn't interested because he couldn't turn enough profit on them.

He knows what parts sell and what don't. Say he got some rims, didn't like them, decided to sell them, and no wants them, but someone's willing to trade an intake, tuner, ect. for it... Stuff that could actually sell. Or even say different wheels that would sell, he has to go through a longer process trying to get the x-amount of money he was originally trying to get.

Luckily, he has the patience to do such things, and the itrader ranking of a God.

I think all he's saying is that if your sole motivation for selling is strictly "for-profit", you should be a supporting vendor.

Then where are you getting the other parts to re-sell? I hate like all-hell to quote wiki, however...

"Conflict of interest".

Re-quoted for those who did not bother to read all of the posts in this thread.

I can see how this could have an appearance of a conflict, even if there is none in practice.

Perception is reality. That's exactly why conflict of interest laws exist.

Well, here's how a deal of mine went with Caleb..

He had a Roush bumper w/ fogs/harnesses that he wanted to trade for a stock bumper plus some cash. After I had agreed to drive 8 hours from Little Rock to Dallas to do the swap, he tells me that he sold the fogs and harnesses locally, but that I was "still getting one hell of a deal." Sure, I'll agree with that, a Roush bumper for a long drive and a bill. The day after that, I put up a WTB ad for some Roush foglights. He sent me a message and told me I could have a set for $100. Assuming he had another set just sitting around, I told him that'd be fine, didn't give it a second thought and I fired up the PayPal. Turns out, he never even took the lights out of the bumper. A blatant lie, telling me that he had sold them locally. He had just bought the fogs a few weeks earlier and didn't want to lose out on money, I guess, even though his ad clearly stated that the lights and harnesses came with the swap.

Now, I understand Caleb has hooked many people up on here, but I won't do business with him again after that. I got the bumper and the lights without complaint, but I really feel that he shafted me.

Without getting all philisophical and shit I will try and explain my position as best as I can. Moral codes are generally dictated by the society at large in a given particular area. There are also personal moral codes as well and I'm not gonna muddy shit up with all the other ambiguities and stuff.

Plain and simple, as long as your moral code does not interfere with mine, I have no real problem with you. I can think you are fucked in the head for believing in it but that's your choice. So while I don't like the whole flipping free shit, from a legal standpoint and a societies global moral code (which usually dictate legal ramifications) there really is nothing wrong with what was done. Just not something I would ever do myself.

Coo?

I don't see anything in the thread about brembo's actually. The thread says that your friend got some new 18's, so he didn't need them anymore. Your pm said you would trade if they were 17's. Also, the wheels in the pics are mounted on a car without brembos.

Now there's a concept... 70k brutha :LMAO:

Man that ford tech shouldn't be moderating the engine section! He knows way too much and uses his large amount of experience (good and bad) to help others, and make things run as smooth as possible...

And I don't see him rolling 70k deep... Although... He might have to pay for his "girlfriend"...

I agree. Maybe he shouldn't be moderating the classified section since he appears to be the biggest user of said section?

See, now here I can see a legal implication presenting itself if its used to his advantage as per conflict of interest. You may have missed my reply above which i still do stand by, but disregarding this I don't see anything wrong with what he does. just don't agree with it.

Is the Ford tech selling or offering services for sale in that section while not being a supporting vendor? And read up on the $70k, noob. Oops, I posted it again... :beerchug2:
