So im just getting into autocross competitions, I went to the second auto x event last weekend and had a blast. Now that iv got the bug to go turn the wheel instead of going straight, im looking at modifying my 08 Bullitt for auto x competition.
Im looking at getting a second set of wheels and softer tires for auto x/future track days only. My question is what are the recomended wheel choices for someone competing in F/S Auto x. From the rulebook it appears the wheels must be the same dimensions as stock, 18x8.5 for bullitt wheels i believe, but can be lighter. BBS wheels are out of my price range and im trying to stay around the $300 per wheel range. Also what offset and backspacing?
My plan is once wheels are selected, im going to put 255/35-18 RE-11's on for the rest of the season and upgrade to Hoosier A/R compounds next year.
Thanks for any advice, im new to the whole turning the wheel racing and any advice is helpful
