I am running Roush axle backs with Long tubes and an offroad X pipe. The car is insanely loud.

How much power is to be lost by going from the Roush style muffler to the SVT GT500 muffler? I am guessing no more than 5 hp or so.

A completely negligible amount. 1-2 ponies, if that. The axlebacks are far from restrictive on these cars.

I agree. If getting the GT 500 mufflers you should look at American Muscle. They have them for $264.00 with free shipping. This is the best price I have found to date.

Thanks for the info. I love how the car sounds but I think everyone around me might be taking exception to that...lol

I'm saving for a set right now. I've listened to every youtube vid available with the off road x and the GT 500 mufflers and to me it's the best sounding comdo out there. And they say you get very little to no drone with this setup.

you could switch to a catted mid pipe or possibly add resonators to the ota pipes

I still have the factory resonators on the car. There is not drone what so ever and it cruises nice. But that first 30 seconds it starts is killing me.

I also wouldn't mind a little more mellow tone also.
