So after some time away I'm back in a 2006 GT! Pretty much stock aside from Magnaflow axelbacks and a hurst shifter. Its my new daily so hoping to start doing some mods next summer to it.

As for before this! After I got rid of my procharged 07 california special I got myself a focus ST and did some fun stuff to it. Stage 2 mods, suspension and all that fun stuff. Was a fun car but I missed my v8's!

A tuner and CAI is always my first mod. Followed by wider rims and better tires (if needed). Looks like you'll stick with some winter shoes for a while though.

Get some good winter tires, a few bags of sand in the spare well and you're doing great. I ran 225/60R17 winter tires with my stock springs.

NOOOOOO! You should have gotten a 5.0 because they are super duper. But if you had to settle for a lowly 3V then you could have at least gotten a later model year to avoid the spark plug issue :nixon:

Congrats on the new ride! Now get to modding and making that thing sound as amazing as it looks!

Plugs can be swapped. Plus, why pay for extra depreciation on the 07-09. I doubt my 05 will depreciate much more. I wanted an inexpensive entry point for a car in the color I like that can be modded as much as I want.

Plus, I read the 05-06 GT has a slight weight advantage over the 07-09 models since they share the same reinforced frame with the 07-09 GT500. From what I read online it was about 125lbs. It's on the Internet, so it must be true! LOL
