Bad Sellers

I purchased a Whipple from Drew on 12/6. The first thing that happened was that it was supposed to have everything except the fuel pump, injectors, and spark plugs. After I paid for it he told me he forgot that he didn't have the belt but would get me a part number. I thought that sucked but I gave him the benefit if the doubt. I got a good deal so OK. After a couple of requests, he never got me the part number. I should have suspected something then.

When he sold me the blower, he said he would ship it out no later than 12/13. I checked on 12/12 and he said it would be shipped either 12/13 or 12/14. I checked on 12/16 and he told me his wife was shipping it that day and he would send me a tracking number on 12/17. I texted him the evening of 12/17 to inquire about the tracking number. No response. 2 more times the morning of 12/18. He responded that he had crushed his phone and lost my cell number. He said he would have the tracking number sent to me. That didn't happen. He texted me the following day saying that he would have his wife send me the tracking number. Didn't happen. I texted him Friday morning. He said he would do it himself in a few hours. After about 8 hours with no tracking number, I texted him again. No response. I texted him again at 10:30 last night stating that if he couldn't communicate with me, then I would file a dispute with PayPal. No response. So I filed the dispute this morning.

What's the username? There are a few that start with Drew. For anyone reading this is why you don't gift paypal.

I agree. He had a picture of the belt in the ad and described it as being included. Money or a belt.

I opened the thread so that Joel can post his issues in it. That way anyone can search out the seller and find how he does business.

On a side note is there any chance that he just hasn't gotten around to pulling it? Buying parts that are still in use is risky imo. Don't get me wrong, he has already fucked up but maybe all hope isn't lost. Some people just don't understand that you want what you paid for as soon as possible.

The paypal dispute will get his attention. Did you use a credit card for the paypal transaction? If so you can still get the money back through the cc if paypal fails you.
