Excuses Im stating what I see. Other guy if you misquote you could cost your company thousands. Are they taking it out of your paycheck. Are they a multimillion dollar company. In my eyes the guy is out absolutely nothing by getting a full refund. Go to walmart and buy a tv if the wrong one is in the box you have to rebox it up and drive it to the store where your out gas money time and effort does walmart pay that expense for you no do people still shop at walmart hmmm there everywhere so they must. There was a huge mistake here and the vendor should have confirmed the items priority to the final payment and shipping. Should he heat $500 or $900. Sure if hes a multi million dollar company. If your income for a week is $900 how do you expect someone to give you a weeks worth of there pay and put themselves in jepeordy you cant.
Not sure if you know what business is really like.
Put it this way, If I cost my company a lot of money, it would be frowned upon and since it is family owned with 12 employees, me remaining an employee could be in question.
I will lose my house, my cars, any immediate future of furthering myself, etc.
That isn't the point guy, the point he, Man 1 told Man 2 this is what I will see the kit for, and made a mistake on the price. Then Man 1 told Man 2 flat out he cannot honor it but is willing to refund the money.
This is beating a dead horse as you keep defending Beefcake (I don't see a reason why anyone wouldn't as he has great reviews) but, you are missing the big picture as to why Ryan brought this up.
I understand this may come out of Beefcakes pocket, but, let me ask you this.
If you make a mistake filing your taxes and the IRS comes after you, are they going to offer you multiples options for your mistake? Nope, they want their money, or, what is owned/promised to them.
The problem with shops is they try to take on all the work themselves and this is the end result. Not a huge issue, but, the shop will lose a customer. In this day and age, even for multi-million dollar companies (Not sure if you knew this, but, a multi-million dollar company is nothing anymore) every customer counts.
