Was that recent? On the website it said this new part number was just released Feb 29th 2012?

Maybe the problem you list above was the reason for the new part #'s?

This was a quite a few months ago, so if they did do some redesign im curious to see some new testing.

Have you priced out a belt drive setup?

The pump and universal drive system alone is $700-$1000, not to mention
fuel cell/surge tank, single pusher or primer pump, lines/fittings/fuel pressure regulator, brackets and drive system fabbing to find a place to put it etc. I really dont see any savings here If cost is truely your reason for it.

This is true. Belt drive is definitely not cheaper, because the mounting bracket and pulley along with an aftermarket dampner are required. Really the only benefits I see are less current draw on the alternator, quieter pump, capable of flowing much more volume at higher pressures, and little to no fuel heating issues.

in the end, I think Im going to go with the triple pump..the belt driven setup sounds like too much to deal with.

The stealth pump system doesnt sound like it will produce enough corn fed fuel..

Sooooo...triple pump ftw?

You can buy my fore triple pump return setup if you want it. The only negative to triple pumps is if one pump goes out you will be lean. With one big pump your motor just dies rather than going lean.

Would this statement still hold while under 20 psi of boost at the time of the pump failure?

And is there anyone running the A1000 that could share there views?

Are you talking about the one big pump quitting which results in the motor dying? If so, then from my experience with one big pump when the pump fails the motor dies before any detonation occurs even under boost. The pumps normally just stop working suddenly.

Its just more obvious when its a one pump system and it goes, if you get lucky and it fails under normal driving sure the car will just shut off. But, regardless of the setup, wether you have a one pump system or three, if you are wot making 20lbs of boost and you loose a pump its a bad deal. Technicaly with a single pump sytem it could be worse/increased risk, when the one pump suddenly shuts off/looses flow you would def go full lean uncontrolabley, if you have three pumps and one shuts off you have a chance for the the other 2 pumps to pick up the slack or identify a pressure drop or leaning of a/f to shut it down. Then again maybe you could get lucky with a one pump setup and it shuts off fast enough so that there is no time for detonation and the motor just dies. Both setups have their pros and cons I wouldnt say one is better than the other though as far as failing under a high load/boost scenario. Would be a bad situation either way. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the info guys. I decided to stay with the triple pump set up and bring the third pump on at 10psi.
