Saturday was a long and busy day for us personally. I started the morning by pressure washing the driveway and front porch, so I could apply another coat of sealer in the evening. In between, Donna, Devon and I started installing a laminate flooring up in the walk-in storage attic. We debated back and forth quite a bit as to what to do with the floor up there. We wanted it durable, easy to clean, and most important – inexpensive (it is just a storage space after all). The laminate was the best choice (under $1 per SF), but it took us most of the weekend to complete.

In addition, the veneer work on the front wall continued.

On Sunday we finished the attic floor, and totally emptied and cleaned out the garage. The garage floor coating process begins on Monday (and will take several days to complete).

Not only does Donna like drag racing… she also likes power tools! Lucky me!

The attic floor came out pretty good (especially considering the labor costs).

10 days Don...... We call that a metric week around here. Makes it go by faster!
LOL... strangely enough, I don't want it to go by faster. We still have a lot to do, and not much time to do it.

LOL, Floor looks good Don!!!

:LMAO:
I've been running on 36 hour days for quite a while now... or maybe I've already had the psychotic embolism. Can't really tell for sure.

The garage floor coating began today. It is a multistep process and should be done by Wednesday. We’ll be able to walk on it by the end of the week, but can’t drive any cars on it until next week. The front yard retaining wall is coming along nicely, also.

Much better than the old slump block wall that was there.

This was the best I could do without being able to go inside the garage.

On Tuesday, some interior touch up was done on the cabinets, and the glass subcontractor came to measure for the bathroom mirrors. Outside, the front retaining wall work is basically done (except for the grout on the cap), and they started work on the bottom of the front porch columns.

The last of the wall veneer was done.

These are the gaps at the bottom of the columns that are being filled in.

Just a few stones can make a big difference. This will be done on the front of the garage, too.
