And this is what things looked like near the end of the day.
Looking into the family room.
Inside the family room.
The kitchen area.
We tested the look of a couple “transition” stones on the fire pit.
The Iron Mountain flagstone is taking shape on the BBQ.
This is one of the end walls of the BBQ.
It looked really dark right after it was rinsed off.
And this is what things looked like near the end of the day.

The hardwood floor installation continued on Tuesday, and is about 75% done. But the tile did not get started as planned. It will get going on Wednesday. In the backyard, work continued on the fire pit and BBQ, and the subsurface components of the waterfall are underway.

Liner and water delivery line going in.
This is the so-called “pondless” retention area.

Wednesday was a slow day. Nothing got done with the hardwood floor, and the tile didn’t get started until late in the day. And the mason’s effort to place the large rocks up into the waterfall with a small forklift didn’t work out. A crane will come in on Thursday to do the heavy lifting.

This is the best it could do… not close enough.
Hardiboard for the upstairs bath floors.

Thursday morning was all about moving big rocks. A crane with an 80-foot reach and a 3,000 lb capacity was brought in to place the larger rocks in the waterfall. It took about 90 minutes to place the eight largest rocks. We expect to see this waterfall complete and functional sometime next week!
The heavy lifter arrives.
We needed almost all of his 80-foot reach.
The first of 8 going in.
Number 2 getting set.
Four down, four to go.
Donna had to test out her “sitting rock”.
Almost done – just one left.
All eight in place.
And while the crane was doing its thing, Hugo finished off the stone work on the BBQ.

damn i knew it was going to be a bitch to move the big ass boulders but i did not expect you to need to get that big of a cranes

The problem was access. He couldn't get any closer than about 70 feet away from the waterfall, and he had to over the top of the house to reach that corner. So the long boom was necessary.

On the inside, the wood floor is done, except for the trim pieces. The 12x12 tile is laid in the upstairs bathrooms. And the carpet pad is going down in the three upstairs bedrooms.
We really like the way the wood turned out.
This is what the 12x12 tile looks like.
Just carpet pad.
I decided to add this feature to the waterfall.
