All the while I had to move apts in like four days, I had this thread in mind knowing what you went through, so enjoy it man, this is your palace, your home and kingdom, and like Dave said, it's been a long haul, but we all here know what you've gone through and applaud you and are happy for your living situation.

The water fall looks great Don!
When I win the lottery I think I'm going to buy a lot of land in the country, build a cool house like you did and have a lift in the garage and then build my own 1/4 mile track and 2+ mile road track.

Not sure when the big party/BBQ will be yet. Sometime after January is the best I can say now. We are hosting my company's Christmas party next Saturday. so there will be 80 to 100 people here that night. We'll need to recover from that before we have another big bash!Soooooo........ Ahh, but I am from WI and I have family in Tx, both locations would have the land needed if one had the $$ to buy and build on it.

The last of the fence work was completed on Saturday. In addition to cutting about 1-1/2 feet off the top of the north fence line (making it shorter to open the view up a little), the fencing contractor also completed the double gate on the south side.
Bolting the gate posts to the retaining wall.
The adjustable steel frame isn’t “pretty”, but it is strong and effective.
All hung and ready for trimming.
Need to get the arch top just right.
Better him than me.
The reciprocating saw finished off the ends.
It works!
And now there is no more fence work to be done. This will be a nice place to “hide” the flatbed car trailer.

That area also has the A/C units and the trash cans. The new double gate will hide it from the street view, and this small fence/gate hides the same area from the backyard view.
We still have one small area (about 7 feet long and 18" wide) that hasn't been poured yet. We left the forms in place, and one day when all the kids/grandkids are here, we'll do the handprint thing.

Thanks! It's a fairly small lot (typical of SoCal)... about 65' wide and 135' deep.
