I’m sure this has been discussed before but I just got a Borla S type cat back for my 08 5spd GT to replace the old slp muffler delete that the guy who sold it to me had on. Sounds and feels great, however the sub 2k rpm drone is extremely annoying, especially in 5th gear. Worse than the slp drone I may even say. Is there a good pair of resonators that will eliminate this drone but not sacrifice my exhaust sound?

My resonators are side by side before the axle. If you stagger them they are supposed to help more, at least that is my understanding.

I never found a resonator that will fit and also help much with drone. Ended up swapping on some GT500 mufflers which sound great and don't have any drone.

Aftermarket mufflers by and large will have at least some drone and it's usually around 1700 RPM, where you are a lot while driving around. Had the same problem with my F150.

I have found one aftermarket axle-back with no drone. Granted, they're chambered and not straight-through like the Borlas, but the newest Delta 60 series mufflers on the Flowmaster "Force II" system were perfect for me. I had the classic "American Thunder" 40 series on my '03 Cobra (and loved the sound), but those droned quite a bit. The newer Flowmasters (817410) on the '08 are perfect. For me.
