Boss intake install

Just slapped on my boss intake

And noticed there is no plug in for this



What is it ?

Purge valve. I had a wiring harness custom made so I wouldn't have to splice the OEM wiring harness but most people just Jerry rig the purge valve to the front of the motor with the existing plug.

The wiring goes from here:

I think he means that you could probably buy the appropriate male and female connectors to relocate the valve without doing any splicing for that amount. I'm actually planning to do that with mine. I ended up relocating the valve to the driver's side fender near the brake fluid reservoir.

I like this idea!! So if you relocate the valve to the rear, what do you do with the plastic vacuum line? It doesn't look like it would bend that easily. Or do you also need to purchase the boss installation kit?

I didn't go the cheap route...I bought the installation kit.

Then bought the harness from Jeremy for the valve relocation. Looks OEM.

I'm not gonna replace brand new parts on my car with brand new parts from a kit so I did it for $5.99 and it looks just fine.

I'm a fan of clean installs. The install kit is silly overpriced but I wanted the install to be clean. My buddy cbrtrx and I did the install and opened up the oem wiring harness to run the wiring back through the existing loom and back out the passenger side fuel rail.

It came out very good and cleans up the front of the manifold nicely.

Idk why you bother with the 190 install kit and shit lol.

No one will ever see the difference besides the people who payed all that extra money for the kit. Even then you cant tell unless you start snooping

Wish mine would have came with a small box. They I could have saved $5.99
