Here are some pics of me and the folks from DAVAD Motorsports going to the track and at the track. After the car being stored for 5 months the 2200 mile drive was just as fun as the track.

How'd the car run?

It only ran 12.701 @ 108 . Not sure about the weather down there. I think it will do low 60s pretty easy.I could not figure out the first 60ft of that track all week end and the wind was terrible. I think it was ok after driving 1100 miles each way.

That horrible head wind, humidity and barometric pressure was wreaking havoc on everyone's ETs the whole weekend. At least it wasn't too hot. A year ago it was in the 90s, it was horrible sitting in the staging lanes..

I was pretty upset that most new 5.0's were running high 13's and low 14's. I was thinking WTF! But apparently everyone was having a shitty day.

Since we have basically the same set up...what kind of 60's were you seeing? I don't see why it wont' go low 60's or high 50's. You have the mph.

DAVAD Motorsports had there 2011 auto down there with gears and a tune and went 12.17 @ 114. It's the silver 11 in the pics and it was her first time ever going down the track.

Rebecca Starkey of VMP Tuning went 10.20 in her 5.0. It just went 10.000 a few weekends before too.

I'm pretty much within the same 60' range. Mostly mid to low 1.8's and occasional high 1.8's. I had one 1.78 but missed 2nd and have tried tire pretty anywhere from 18-14 and seems to be about the same results regardless, i'm sure most of it is me being rusty.

Besides being lowered do you have any suspension done also what tire pressure?

I started my air pressure at 24 and made it down to 18psi. At 18 it hooked so hard it almost killed it at 5000rpm.The next time out I will try 18 and bring it out about 6000 and see what happens.

Our track up here doesn't open till April 2nd so I have a while to wait.

Just lowered ,right now. going to put on Lower control arms and relocation brackets.Then remove front sway bar.Other than the wheels it's still a full weight car.

here at home. Did you make any change's or was it the altitude difference ?

It ran a 12.75 at Muncie towards the end of the year,last year............We changed the tune tune a little and added the wheels and tires. I don't think it was the altitude ,just shitty weather.It will go mid to low 12.60s at muncie .
You going to Atlanta with us?
