brake ducts on a 2013

since the '13s have a semi revised front has anyone seen or built their own brake ducts yet?

any tips/tricks?

i was told to be sure to dump the air into the center of the rotor so as to let the vents cool off both sides equally

other than that though this is a new project for me

My bet is Roush uses the lower "vents" judging by the openings. What the hose attaches to is something they fabricated?

Any idea what's bolted diagonally near the outsides of the lower grille? Could a factory car use sub woofer trumpets there?

Or you could go the "easy" route and install a gt500 bumper and use the fog light openings.

best bet would be to grab speaker port tubes and fasten them to the front lower grille and run your ducting that way. i made a little write up on where to get the parts and such. cost all of $60 and a few hrs time.

speaker port tubes can be zip tied to the lower grille if you dont like drilling or modifying your grille section.

doesn't FRPP make a clean kit that replaces the GT/CS foglights? the 2010-2012 kit they had was pretty slick, except when trying to slide the hose over the bracket behind the disc. a little pricey for what it is, but it buttons up quickly.

We will be coming out with a Brake cooling kit for the 13's in the next few months or so.

We have custom milled billet bezels, backing plates and hoses. Kits only run about $139-149.

I'll post more info as we move forward.

I have one on my 13 now and track it.

tucker, in that last pic you may want to push the hose through the lower condensor inlet line as it may help increase air velocity by removing the "bump" to the outer portion of the car...

also if you could shoot me a pm with a price on some 3" brake bezels, i have a custom project which needs a set and those look right on par with what i am looking for.

I'll have to look at the hose routing, but I remember a fitment issue going through there.
We don't have 3" bezels, sorry, these are 2.5"

I've logged tons of miles/hours on full course VIR with 0 brake fade using our kits on our GT500, 2011 and now 2013 GT.

I run Hawk HT-10 pads and Nittoe NT-01's
I have also run Toyo R888 with good luck too.

They will work with any Mustang brake system 05-13
