Getting replaced wit a new 5.0 from the looks of it.

It wi run fine and then all of a sudden start sputtering like its loading up on fuel and if you out your foot into it goes nowhere. The cars midrange power is nowhere to be found, and you can't even brake the tires loose from a dig anymore.... While it's sitting idleing it will damn near fall on it's face at times the. Catch itself and hold a rough idle around 500rpms, almost like it has a small cam to it.

Also during cruising you can of your foot into it and it goes no where and sputters then just wakes up out of nowhere and takes off... The thing is a mess.

I've gotten the same tech responses...

Clean MAF.... Done
Clean TB.... Done
Check plugs.... Checked and replace with new
02 sensors... Checked and replaced with new
TPS... Just replaced..


Still the car runs terrible... I think something in the ECM is messed up.

Trade in didnt go so well today....they said the worked me out some numbers and they lied....I told them I wanted to stay around $515-$550 per month and they somehow translated that into $660/ month....so the bullitt is staying. Time to rebuild. The girlfriend can suck it....

Yeah...they only wanted to give me $16000 for the my car. Which through the numbers way off. I thought $20000 at least.

I've been there with a few or more cars over the yrs. on trade in values.

Yeah they really screw ya on the trade ins......its ok. I swapped out the injectors tonight and the car seems to be running alot better. I think Im gonna have a new fuel filter put in as well just for safe measures.

I am now changing my Fuel Filter more often after I saw what came out of it last time.

That is a good idea and I think something that is often forgotten by many people.
I think the reason is, you don't see it, so easy to overlook it.

damn 16k? how many miles. up in the pacific northwest, s197s are holding their value well. in march i paid 18.5k for my loaded GT. 37k on the clock. that was about 4-5k back of book. i work for a dealer so i got taken care of. i check trade in and private sale of the stang the other day just for shits and giggles. its worth about 17.5k on trade and 24k private sale. the pacNW loves their mustangs i guess.

in fact we have a black bullitt on the lot now(next to a s281) and its going for 28k or so iirc.

odo reads 27K....car is flawless....
