Quick question for the guys running 4.56s...

Im getting ready for the install here in the next week or two. I have the ring and pinion setup...I know I need the master rebuild kit, but I am told that I will also need a notched differential cross pin for the 4.56s, is this true. If so which one did you guys use, i believe its the 7/8" Notched Diff Cross pin for the 31 splines that go in our cars correct?

Also would you recommend going with the Ford Racing Traction Lock-Rebuild kit with the carbon discs while I have everything out? Thanks for replies in advance.

Yeah, I don't think Im going to do the Traction Lok Rebuild kit with carbon discs. Im gonna stick with the stock differential and components at this time.

Yeah, Im workin on it. Trying to finish up getting the gears installed on the Bullitt and then I have to start setting money aside for a house in Feburary....Im gonna be taking a break from modding from a few months.

Rebuild kit and 7/8" Notches differential pin were ordered to tonight. 4.56 install set for next week

That's probably going to be the ONLY thing I don't do myself to this car , gears ....

It's not all that mad to install. You just have to make sure you have a micrometer handy, and someone who has a press.
