You can go down to a local auto shop and have them use their press and just buy a micrometer or borrow one from a buddy if they have one.

Quick question for the guys running 4.56s...

Im getting ready for the install here in the next week or two. I have the ring and pinion setup...I know I need the master rebuild kit, but I am told that I will also need a notched differential cross pin for the 4.56s, is this true. If so which one did you guys use, i believe its the 7/8" Notched Diff Cross pin for the 31 splines that go in our cars correct?

Also would you recommend going with the Ford Racing Traction Lock-Rebuild kit with the carbon discs while I have everything out? Thanks for replies in advance.

No, just for gears above the 4.30

Yeah that notched cross pin cost me $54

All parts are here for the 4.56 install. Recieved the cross pin from LRS and the rebuild kit this week from AM. Good to go for Saturday.

Also picked up Boozsheys Hurst Comp ST Shifter....hopefully that will make shifting a little easier.
