Bully Dog Tuner...anyone try it?

I have been searching up and down for someone who has tried and tested the Bully Dog GT tuner on their 3V 4.6L v8, and have found no one. Anyone here try it?

Before you tell me to buy the SCT tuner with a Bama tune....I probably will in the future, but right now I have the Bully Dog GT for my Nissan Titan and want to try it on my (new-to-me) 2010 GT. The BDGT tuners are a huge hit on the Titans, I'm hoping it will work well on the GT.

So, any reviews?

Try it and tell us what you think. I don't think you will find a Bully Dog fan here unless they are a new forum sponsor. I think you already answered your own question when you said SCT.

I use a Bully Dog GT on the 12' Super Duty I gave to my son and it works fine. I have an SCTX4 with PIP tunes on my 15' Super Duty to delete DPF and EGR and it is a BEAST!

I would never let either company tune out Mustangs. Its just not what they do.

Stick to the well know Mustang tuners.

They are now the same company but I would really suggest you sticking with what works in mustangs and do not try to re-invent the wheel.

Yes, they merged into what is now Derive systems. Don't know who bought who or the inners of the merger but they are together now.

Now, to the OP, please do not take this comment as a plus for the bully dog stuff, do it right at the beginning and get an SCT device, you will access to a ton of mustang tuners that know the platform and custom tuning.

Bully Dog HQ is right down the road. I will never let them touch anything....ever.....period. There are so many local cars/trucks blown up with bully dog stickers. Such a coincidence.

SCT bought Bully Dog about 8-9 months ago and will be merging different things in the future, when or what, who knows. But Bully Dog mostly just all focus in on trucks like Edge tuners.

OP, as others have said, highly suggest to just go with tried and proven. Get a SCT tuner and solid custom tune from place that knows what they are doing like Lito.
