I installed some bc racing coilovers a few weeks back on my 13 gt and although I'm very happy with the way they perform and look I am literally riding on the rear bump stops? I can't understand why as I am not even that low in the back about 1.5inch gap between the tire and fender is this normal for that drop? I had sport lines on my 08 gt and the drop was just about the same in the rear and I don't remember them riding the bump stops? What should I do I don't really want to raise it because like I said its not that low out back.... Should I adjust the spring a bit more? I don't wanna cut the stops either... What are my options?

Mikey,

How much were you lowered? I have CJ drag springs on and I see some rubbing on the top of the bump stops on the rear.

Just cut the top ring off and now have about 1inch to play with and the ride is way nicer as well I may slam the rear and cut the stop some more thanks guys...

I have heard about people breaking end links and control arms and supposedly it's because they cut the bump stops to much is this true?

I dunno if that's true or not, but the bump stops aren't there to look pretty, they're there to well...stop bumps.

Youre too low, stop being a ricer.

Bump stops provide progressive spring rate when youre at the end of your travel. You want them to be there.

To late any way it's done I cut the top portion of the stops yesterday and the ride has actually improved!

Cutting or replacing them are your only options and you made a wise decision there my friend. My coil overs come with new bumpstops.
