Which means it has an aftermarket tune, and not likely for 87 octane. I'd put 91 octane minimum in it until you install a known tune.
I was just thinking the same thing and remembered the dealer said they was going to fill the tank for me for when I pick it up. Am i ok to burn this tank out if i dont get on it?

Yeah, just don't go full throttle.
If you give it gas and hear pinging, that's another sign you need better gas

I have a 2010 gt same color and love it. The car had 42000 miles when I bought it. It now has 152000 miles now and has been trouble free. I have added wheels and gt 500 wing. And a brenspeed tune that’s all I have done to mine.

It could be a no tune required cai. And you dont have to run higher octane. Any detonation will pull timing so he could run 87 in the meantime.

Congrats on the new ride, deez. I think you made the right choice based on your needs/wants/budget. You will love this car for years to come, and plenty of room for mods. Check our classifieds section for used parts, and over on SVTPerformance.com as well. I have gotten some great deals from that forum.

For me, the 3v 4.6 with most exhaust setups sounds sooooo good. Dare I say, maybe a weee bit richer than the Coyotes. The 2010 is nice because it has the 05-09 powertrain without the 05-09 interior quality. Just watch the seats and steering wheel, they wear somewhat quickly. But with so many options, its easy to make your new pony YOUR OWN. Super easy to make it rather unique or plain, thats what is so awesome about the aftermarket support for these cars. Enjoy the journey, they are great cars and tons of fun, even if you see them everywhere lol.

The 2010-2011-2012 all have the exact same body style, exterior and interior. I would have opted for a 11-12 car if you wanted that body style, then at least you get the better eng..and mating 6R80 6 speed auto tranny.
