Hello out there,

I am new to the forum and having a s197 Mustang GT 4.6L. I recently bought the car from someone that really didn't have any info on the car as they bought it from an auction. I am wanting to get it tuned, but the tuner is asking me if the engine has been cammed. I am almost positive that it has not, but I figured I would get some other input from here as well. I have attached a sound clip of my car. Is it cammed? Thanks!

I cant listen to the clip right now bc I'm on work computer but what other mods does it have? full exhaust? cold air etc. chances are if everything else is stock it doesn't have cams..

also can’t watch the video, but most cams on these cars have a narrow LSA to promote the lumpy idle. If it isn’t obviously loping, likely stock.

A few other things you could do is measure intake manifold vacuum to see what vacuum you are pulling compared to stock. You can also pull one of the valve covers and look for part numbers on the cams.

It's just a sound file. It starts about 5 seconds in, and you can hear the exhaust. I am 99% positive that it is stock as there are no sounds of loping.
