So I had a couple questions awhile back my motor blew I kept getting a p0022 code after I got the new motor in all set went for a drive I got it again so I figured it was the phaser on bank 2 so instead of buying it I installed a lockout but without a tune and I been driving it but it hasn’t been the same idles a bit more rough and when I put it in drive you can hear a tapping noise from the front area I took everything off to change the oil pump due to mine going out but all timing components were fine, could it be my phasers making that noise due to me not tuning it for the lockout on both heads they have the vvt solenoids and I think that maybe it’s trying to signal it to turn the clutch in the phaser which is causing it to not run the same as before I was hoping someone could point me into a direction I was just gonna buy 2 new phasers to see if it changes anything but I already put a lot of money so I just wanted to see if Yall could give me an idea before opening it up again

So all this could mostly likely just be because of the tune? I did hear you don’t need a tune but it is recommended just that you some hp and your MPG gets worse but If so I might just buy the phasers and put them on brand new @86GT351
