Caring for RWL tires

Hey ladies and gents. I'm new to the site, so forgive me if this topic has been discussed.

I bought some Eagle #1 Nascar tires with Raised White Letters and was wondering if anyone had any tips on caring for them. I'm currently using Ajax to help keep the letters white. The downside is that it gets kind of messy. And I'm not sure if Ajax would be the best product to use in the first place.

What have you used in the past? Any recommendations? Thanks

Maybe some oxford white or performance white touch up paint once it starts to wear off. Saw some dudes doing it at car shows a few times. As far as upkeep to prevent wear, I couldn't tell you man..

Way back in the day, we used white grease pencils... but it tends to wipe off easily, too.

ha, thanks man. I showed your car to my gf and she remembered that she wanted louvers.. Shit. Another thing for me to buy.. haha.

Hahaha. Yeah, I was trying to go for the retro route. I actually get alot more 'experienced' Mustang guys that want to chat about cars n' such. A lot of the younger folk see that it's a six shooter and wont even give it the time of day, lol. Thanks again, Don.

Use a product called BleachWhite. You'll never need to use anything else. It will keep the tires looking brand new. Just lightly spray it on, scrup with a stiff bristled brush and rinse. I buy it at orielly's, but you can get it and wal-mart as well.

Oh, and I love the white letter tires! I wish they made some for 17's and Id be runnng some on my stock bullets.

i agree. I used the same thing on my whitewalls on my old truck. Makes them look brand new.

Thanks for the help, Cagle. I think I'll buy what was suggested in this thread and see what works the best. I wish they made RWL for 17s. Those with some Magnum 500s would look gorgeous.

Mac, I use M:B2B to polish up my hoodscoop. It gives it that nice Satin Black look to it. I want to try it on my chin, but haven't really experimented with that yet.
