Cdc shaker hood install help !!!!

ok here is my problem someone with a s197 must have ran into this

i have a 2008 gt/cs with the stock hoop scoop from ford.

i want to put in the cdc shaker but on every forum/website that has the hood it says in BOLD letters it will not cover the factory holes from hood scoop

has anyone ran into this problem ?
any solutions ?
how big where the holes ?
do you have pictures?

any info would be great i know SOMEONE must have done this who had a stock hood scoop

I'll take some pics in a few. There are 3 holes left behind the shaker. The holes are fairly small. My car is white with black accessories, so I just put black interior trim plugs in them.

Got to run for now, but I'll post them up tonight.

marcspaz from this forum did his. he picked up 3 small rubber plugs and filled the holes. It almost look like its suppose to be like that. Looks really good.


edit: hahah, looks like he was typing at the same time as me!

few more questions

were all other install steps the same have any trouble with cutting ?
my dad thought of the same idea with the rubber plugs where did you get them ?

ausome im excited to see how it looks cant wait to get some pics so i can order my shaker anyone have any pics of his hood lying around

I had a Roush scoop on mine before the shaker. It is bigger than the Ford appearance package scoop. The cut out and trim ring covered, eliminated all of the holes except the 2 in the rear. I had a body shop fill the holes and repaint the hood. It turned out to be an expensive decision to go this route.

cali you have pm. They have two differant hood scoops, thats why the holes are differant.

yea but the roush hood scoop is larger and he said he had the stock b4 idk why any holes would show because im looking at the 4 nuts and bolts holding in my 08 hood scoop and they look like there in the location of the cut out spot im :angry1: trying to figure out how many holes are gona show and how big there gona be i cant wait to see some pics

My wife came home from work about 5 minutes after I did the cut-out.........she FREAKED!!!!!. When I went and got her after I had completed the install she wasn't so freaked out.....lol
