Trying to install my rear axle brace today & ran into a problem with the subframe connectors in my vert. This is not the first time these things have caused me a headache. I know they're there for a reason, but just wondering if anyone has installed the axle brace on a vert & how you got around the subframe connectors.
Thanks

Is the issue interference once its on? Or are you asking about pulling those braces off?

I've had them off to replace springs. I tried to avoid jacking the car from the chasis in front of the tire without them on (by supporting the rear at the frame rails behind the muffler as well as in front of the tires (1 pr of jackstands and oneset of bottle jacks at the rear), but if the car is supported by the axle/tires, there is no issue removing them...

Just make sure to re-torque with the car at ride height...

Don't have the brace on the vert so I can't speak to clearance once its on there...

the Convert braces seem like a nice add on to for those SCCA classes that don't let you weld in or bolt in any non-OEM braces.

The more I look at 'em, the more it looks like there will be interference between the subframe connectors & the brace when the body moves up & down. I didn't want to go to the trouble of dismantling everything only to find out it wouldn't work. I'll try to contact CHE for a definitive answer & will post what they tell me.
