ok so im thinking of getting the che k member brace but im wondering, will it be possible to use it with my bmr k member and a arms?? any moifications necessary??

I did. I modded it to fit. Took about 15 minutes. When you get it I'll send you a pic of what to do. My picture of the required cutting has been posted here before. Maybe a search would fine it but no need. PM me when you get it.

Thats a little steep for the CHE.
I sell the brace cheaper than that brand new shipped and the brace and limiters for not much more than that.

I do not see how the brace and limiters would crack a block. Something else caused it not the k memeber brace and limiters.

I just installed them successfully saturday with the bmr k-member. The brace as two mounting holes on either side. With the bmr k-member you only use one on either side (the longer of the two). All you have to do is cut those down 3/4" off the end. Basically what happens is with the bmr k-member you are putting a 3/4" spacer in so the che brace now sits 3/4" too low so the tq limiters cant reach the bellhousing. You cut the che brace 3/4" to pull it up high enough for the tq limiters to be able to reach properly. I'll post some pics asap.

One thing to note is that you will NOT be able to get your oil pan drain plug out because the che brace sits too close. But there IS a fix. You take your oil drain plug, or go buy another from the dealership like I did so I could do a fast swap without draining the oil. Anyway, if you look at the drain plug there is a 1/4" or so tip on it with no threading. Just cut or grind that tip off flush with the threading and it will just allow enough space to get the plug out with a wrench. Obviously do that BEFORE you install the che brace lol.

Also aboot the che tq limiters breaking the block I could definently see it IF you didn't have stiffer motor mounts as well and were making a ton of power. The stock mounts allow a LOT of side to side rocking and if the only stiffening you had was the che tq limiters on the block that would be where all that motion would be concentrated. The bmr k-member I got was the one with the motor mounts which are a crapload stiffer than the stock ones so I'm not worried. It will have the torquing load spread out between the two supports instead of just one.

The oil plug does not have clearance issues when you use the stock k-member with the CHE brace. My guess is your BRM piece moves the mounts forward just a hair.

If you get the Steeda magnetic drain plug, it will be much easier to get in and out with the CHE brace.

Is the steeda drain plug any shorter? The only way it will help is if it's a good 1.4"+ shorter length.

It's not shorter overall, but the magnet is a smaller diameter so you can wiggle it out.

Trust me, I had this problem, and that's how I fixed it.

Me either. I've had no problems but that's not to say it can't happen.
