yeah you make your stockers into economy plates. even better do that and port them to match your heads and then port your intake to match the plates.

how do you make your own? i have an idea but has anyone done it. do you need a welder?

look in the DIY section there's a write up on it. basically you just drill off the fins and then to get the pin out that holds the bar you drill on the opposite side of it and punch it out. if you've never seen them the DIY has pictures. really very simple. i used a dremel to port match to the heads.

There's also a set on ebay for a starting bid of $50. Do a search for Saleen and they'll show up.

mine cost me the price of a couple bits and some quick steel. so maybe a total of 12 or 13 bucks.

Only problem is, there's no going back to stock after you DIY.

i heard you cant go back to stock anyway unless you have them re calibrated at a dealer.

You just need to have them truned back on in your tune.
