All I'm saying is that the vast majority of new owners type the words 'mustang forums' in google when they first start looking for a place to go and that is the first place that comes up so it is the starting part for a lot of people (including most of us)

That's exactly why I joined there. It was the first forum I found.

In Don's defense, you have no idea how fucked up that place was back then for S197 owners.

All I can say is this is a great forum to learn stuff...:beerchug2:

Correction...

All I can say is this is THE BEST forum to learn stuff...:beerchug2:

You know where I stand as well, but I'm just saying that just due to logistics, a lot of our new members are going to come from there and maybe we can be a just a little more 'delicate' in welcoming them, no?

For gods sake, if Hawg and Wheeler aren't going to scare newbies off... we need balance man!....lol:LMAO:

I'm welcoming all newbs to this site... nothing personal about it. But references such as "I read at [blank] mustangforums..." makes me throw up in mouth a little.

BTW Don, how the hell do you have > 12 million posts. LOL! You are the king of forums. ;)
Only 12 million? I could have sworn it was 22 million...

He and I have pretty much decided to sit back and watch the show. I refuse to break anymore keyboards while reading drivel from morons who have no business changing the spark plug in a Briggs & Stratton yet seem perfectly content to tell the entire world exactly how to build their engine/transmission/rear end/entire fuckin' car and rattle on about dyno numbers and flow bench numbers.

Back on topic.....I'd agree with using a Big Stuff 3 system instead of the F.A.S.T. unit. You can go to Precision Turbo's website and order a copy of the demo software for free. Load it up and start tinkering with it. Infinitely better than the F.A.S.T. unit.

Even on a pushrod in your opinion?

EDIT: I looked into the big stuff and answered that question for myself.

looking really nice, how much clearance will you have with the wheel and tire on?

The cars I have seen with the pipeing ran in a similar fashion have an oval tubing ran there for added clearance.

It doesn't appear to be an issue. It's hard to tell from the pics but the piping is supported by the frame and not the fender cause we had launches in mind.

The clearance is pretty big up front with the skinnies. I've never once even grazed the fender even on a big launch and the piping is higher than the fender line. With the fender on - you can't even see the piping at all without getting down and looking up into it.... it's clean.

Look at the duct tape picture for a better prospective of where it sits from the wheel...

Nice post.

It is great to see logic and reason come into play. The ultimate goal is to expand this forum, as well as the S197 community - and this will only be accomplished by gaining 'market share' within the owners of this platform. 'Newbies' will only bring growth to the site, and will soon make the transition to contributing to the collective knowledge base of the site.

IMO...

Says who? I'll take quality over quantity any day.

As long as the newbs don't fuck up the forum, they are welcome. If they start to think this is mustangforums and post stupid shit, the veterans here will eat them alive.

Remember, this site was started because of how poor the others were. We don't want to be like them. Period.
