Had this unfortunate piece break on me and left me clutchless. I replaced it with an metal one.
Few questions for anyone else whose done this.
The master cylinder was wet with fluid and I wiped it down and this may have been to me trying to limp the car home and kinda forcing the clutch pedal to push the master cylinder. It hasn't leaked since so I'll be keeping an eye out.
2nd thing
I noticed my engagement point of the clutch changed a bit. Is this quite normal or an indication of something being off? Would it be better to replace the whole clutch master cylinder right now?

when the fluid ist leaking.. you must replace the master cylinder. BUT now you might open a can of worms... ( Pandoras Box ) Because the new master cylinder builts up a real good pressure...the slave cylinder will suffer. At the end of the day, he will start to leak.
If I were you.... I would change both cylinders- I know you have to pull the tranny.

For now ...you can change the master cylinder first - and keep your fingers crossed that everything works out fine.
But........... you are riding on the edge of a knife.

depending of the milage of your car - the clutch should be inspected.
